The Riverfront Times in St. Louis reported on a pair of business owners who spent the night making sure their businesses weren’t looted (h/t to the Gateway Pundit website).
St. Louis (Riverfront Times) – Nobody is robbing St. Louis Ink Tattoo Studio anytime soon. Or County Guns, for that matter.
The two north county businesses share a storefront in a Florissant strip mall less than ten minute drive from the epicenter of last night’s riots in Ferguson. After nightfall, what began as a community’s peaceful demonstration against the Ferguson Police Department’s shooting of unarmed 18-year-old Michael Brown turned increasingly violent. Crowds plundered a QuikTrip and burned it to the ground, and local news began reporting brazen raids on other stores in the area.
After hearing of the roving bands of looters, Mike Gutierrez knew he had to protect his tattoo shop. He brought a posse with him, including Adam Weinstein, owner of County Guns, who was acutely worried about criminals getting their hands on his merchandise.
“We didn’t want them coming in here and then running around with a bunch of free guns,” Weinstein told Daily RFT when we arrive at the store around 12:30 a.m. this morning. Weinstein was outfitted with an assault rifle, pistol and tactical vest. Gutierrez cradled his own rifle in his hands.

Can’t really tell from the photograph, but I’m assuming the gun is a “modern sporting rifle” which is semi-automatic, NOT an “assault rifle” which is automatic.
Probably, and if gsl had wrote that part I’d expect the differentiation… however they were quoting a local paper that ironically calls it an assault rifle despite it obviously being a defense rifle by context of story.
It’s a patrol rifle…
Did everyone else note the diversity of the group protecting the buildings. Black, white, male, female… all good people coming together.
If I were younger, I’d volunteer to help them.
Sam
This being in Missouri if I am not mistaken the patrol rifle could have been a select fire. Jim.
If the man owns a gun store he could have the necessary licenses to posses a full auto weapon.
none of you know anything about firearms
all of you are idiots the man is waiting outside with an m4 or an ar15 to protect his store from looters that’s it but no all of yall motherfuckers have argue over wether or not the gun has select fire get a life that goes for all of you
