America’s urban gun control utopia, Chicago, is a bastion of strict gun control laws.
So far this year, the city is averaging a shooting every 6 hours and roughly a homicide a day.
And the weather hasn’t even warmed up to 80 degrees yet!
Does this sound like a place you should be visiting from business or pleasure?
Not if you’re a reasonable person who makes prudent choices with regard to your personal safety.
(CNS News) – There have been 441 shootings and 100 homicides in the city of Chicago so far this year, according to a blog that tracks crime in Chicago.
That works out to 3.8 shootings per day or approximately one shooting every 6.3 hours.
The “Crime in Chicago” blog updates daily and tracks crime news within the city. It keeps a running tally of all homicides and shootings.
In 2012, the blog shows that 2,670 individuals were shot in Chicago. That was up 20% from 2,217 in 2011.
Likewise, the number of homicides in 2012 was 535, up 21% from 441 in 2011.
I predict that progressives will soon descend upon numbers like this and blame them on carriage that is at that point lawful. In the beginning there is likely to be an increase because it will take a length of time for the criminals to understand that their generations of fish in a barrel victims no longer exists. The Wild West claims will be rampant for a while saying SEE SEE SEE SEE we told you so! It will be important to counter their tripe with a separation of criminal shooting and defensive shooting.

Right now, I find myself wondering how Chicago media plans on dealing with the defensive actions in presentation. Are they going to intentionally hide them, mix them or tell the truth? Maybe that depends on whether the Koch’s purchase the Trib? 😉

I grew up on the South Side of Chicago and we moved out due to the crime (was mostly robberies in those days) but this is ridiculous, these neighborhoods on the South Side are now all crime ridden ghetto’s, from 35th st all the way south to Roseland and the Indiana line. Let’s see a map of where these crimes are and I’ll be you most of them are on the SOUTH SIDE!!!!! No sane person would go to the South Side! The majority of the crime is not in the heart of the city “the Loop” and not on the North Side??? Duh! Wake Up Chicago, time to clean up your ghetto’s that the Democrats created with welfare! Don’t let the media fool you, this is not going on in the downtown area’s, the Lakefront attractions/festivals or parks!!!!!

The citizens of Chicago are ignorant of history in the United States of America. Research the Jim Crowe laws that were law after the War of Rebellion and you will know what gun violence and banding weapons truely was. They keep electing the elite black senators and reps who push gun control and if these assholes ever read a book they would change their votes. Chicago has the highest number of convicted public servants andd they just keep getting re-elected.
