(Guns Save Life.com) – Ohio’s Coalition Against Gun Violence has apparently added a new member to the staff of late, Andrew Mizsak, Jr. Mizsak joins the infamous woman Toby Hoover, a moonbat opponent of gun-related civil rights in Ohio.
In her paid position as the head of the Ohio Coalition Against Gun Violence, Hoover has been opposed to each and every proposal to broaden Ohioans’ civil rights. Time and time again, her demagoguery has been exposed as baseless and false.
She claimed there would be blood in the streets if right-to-carry passed a number of years ago. Of course that never happened.
She claimed restaurant carry would result in drunken arguments turning into shootouts in bars and restaurants after licensed gun carriers “accidentally” become intoxicated. Of course, that hasn’t happened either.
Today, Mizsak is following that same misguided, emotion-based opposition to firearm civil rights for his fellow Ohioans.
In a TV interview on WKYC, Mizsak was commenting that there needs to be a new look at more gun laws following the Aurora, CO “NO GUNS ZONE” massacre, especially after an unlicensed Ohio man was found to be unlawfully carrying a pistol at a local theater, leaving some speculating on the man’s motives.
Mizsak himself has an interesting past when it comes to self-control and violence issues.
In 2009, Mizsak, then 28-years-old, was living with his daddy, Andrew Mizsak, Sr, then 63, while serving as a School Board member.
One afternoon, Andy Jr. had a temper tantrum at being asked to clean up his room according to a police report.
Yeah, you can probably guess where this is headed.
Little 270+ pound Andy became enraged at what he saw was an unreasonable request from his father, despite not paying any rent or any other expenses.
He threw a plate of food across the room and balled up his fist at his father in a threatening manner, leading his father to call 911 for help.
The police arrived and after a stern lecture, our hero school board member and now gun control activist, was reduced to an uncontrollably crying grown man, who agreed to clean his room like a good boy.
Dad didn’t pursue charges because he didn’t want to ruin his son’s political career.
Let’s read the narrative:
A 911 call was received from the Andrew Mizsak residence. Arguing could be heard over the telephone line. The telephone line was then disconnected. …[police officers] responded. JS called the residence. A male who identified himself as Andrew Mizsak answered the telephone. He said everything was fine and hung up.
It was discovered that a verbal arguement [sic] had taken place between Andy Sr. and Andy Jr. Andy Mizsak, Sr., 63 of age states his son Andrew 29 yrs became upset when he was told to clean his room. Andrew stated he didn’t have time and became enraged, he threw a plate of food across the kitchen table and balled up his fist at his father. When asked if Andrew threatened him his father stated “yes”. When questioned further as to a specific threat, Mr. Mizsak would not answer stating I don’t want to ruin his political career. When asked if he wished to press charges he stated “No, not at this time”
He states Andrew is 270lbs and he can’t fight him, that they do everything for Andrew and he doesn’t even pay rent.
Andrew was sent to his room to clean it. He was crying uncontrollably and stated he would comply with the order.
Andrew Jr. was advised should he ever return and there is the slightest hint that he threatened his parents that he would be arrested for domestic violence.
Could the Ohio Coalition Against Gun Violence have found a better staff member than a grown man who not long ago threw such a violent temper tantrum about cleaning up his room that his father feared for his safety enough that he called the police?
A guy who is a grown adult living at home with his mom and dad rent-free yet pursuing a political career?
Ohio Coalition Against Gun Violence’s has continued their anti-gun streak of late with opposition to campus carry of firearms by licensed students, citing students’ lack of self-control, both sober and drunk.
It would seem that Andrew Mizsak would be a poster child for the psychiatric defense mechanism called projection when it comes to self-control and violent tendencies.
From Wikipedia:
Psychological projection or projection bias is a psychological defense mechanism where a person subconsciously denies his or her own attributes, thoughts, and emotions, which are then ascribed to the outside world, usually to other people. Thus, projection involves imagining or projecting the belief that others originate those feelings.
Projection reduces anxiety by allowing the expression of the unwanted unconscious impulses or desires without letting the conscious mind recognize them.
An example of this behavior might be blaming another for self failure. The mind may avoid the discomfort of consciously admitting personal faults by keeping those feelings unconscious, and by redirecting libidinal satisfaction by attaching, or “projecting,” those same faults onto another person or object.
So, folks, this is who we are up against when it comes to fighting to restore our civil rights.
It’s no wonder we’re winning this war!
