In a recent article, we noted that the Illinois Democratic Party has declared a jihad on America’s favorite rifle, the AR-15, and the background-checked and registered firearm owners who own them here in Illinois in a series of mailings in various legislative districts throughout Illinois. News comes that they’ve opened a new front in this organized, coordinated attack on gun owners with a new mailing to suburban Chicagoland voters on behalf of Kathleen Willis.
The coordinated mass mailings, sent by Democratic Party of Illinois, are in part an organized campaign to distract voters from the appalling leadership of the Democratic Party in Illinois. That party has given us a 67% tax increase, abolition of the death penalty, indebtedness of our children with Democrat profligate deficit spending as well as blocking right-to-carry legislation in just the last two years.
Lacking anything substantive to run on, the Democratic Party of Illinois has been working to make guns and gun ownership a strawman issue in this election.
Proudly wearing the “DEMOCRATS: The Party of Gun Control” label, they have saturated these districts with mailers that smear gun owners by suggesting Firearm Owner ID cardholders are merely a bad hair day from going on a rampage. Of course, the anti-civil rights, anti-self-defense mailers tell voters the only way to prevent this impending carnage in our schools and neighborhoods is to elect completely out of touch, liberal, tax-and-spend Democratic heroes so they may ban America’s favorite rifle along with many other firearms Illinois families use for recreation and personal defense, leaving us at the mercy of violent predators.
As if the earlier mailers weren’t enough, Kathleen Willis’ campaign has picked up the torch and joined in bashing Illinois card-carrying good guys in an effort to scare her potential constituents into voting for her based not upon logic and science, but upon fear and emotions. Her mailer cites a vote from Skip Saviano on House Bill 48, the bill that would have given licensed, background-checked, card-carrying good guys in Illinois – like in the other 49 states – the choice to carry the means with which to protect ourselves, our families and other innocents from violent criminal attack – aka right-to-carry.
Yes, the Democratic Party of Illinois continues its organized, coordinated attack on gun owners and America’s favorite rifle with gusto.
Why a political party thinks it’s okay to attack licensed gun owners in Illinois who without exception have been background checked and found to have a clean mental health record, no felony convictions or even misdemeanor convictions involving domestic violence or misuse of guns defies rational explanation.
The Democratic Party of Illinois apparent enthusiasm supporting bans on guns Americans use for recreation and personal defense is shameful, appalling and offensive. It is reminiscent of the Jim Crow laws of a time gone by.
The Jim Crow laws were state and local laws in the United States enacted between 1876 and 1965. They mandated de jure racial segregation in all public facilities in Southern states of the former Confederacy, with, starting in 1890, a “separate but equal” status for African Americans. The separation in practice led to conditions that tended to be inferior to those provided for white Americans, systematizing a number of economic, educational and social disadvantages. De jure segregation mainly applied to the Southern United States. Northern segregation was generally de facto, with patterns of segregation in housing enforced by covenants, bank lending practices, and job discrimination, including discriminatory union practices for decades.

Don’t be a fool or a dupe.
Don’t fund those who work against your civil right to defend your family against violent predatory criminals.
And Kathleen, guns are no more the cause of violence than spoons are the cause of obesity.

It amazes me that these idiots that believe in gun control have no clue that law enforcement personnel are hardly around when it comes to protecting ones family. A majority of the time, they show up after the fact. There is case law that states Law Enforcement Personnel are not legally bound to protect you as a private citizen. So when that dirt-bag is breaking into your house, there is no guarantees that the police will show up. You are are your own to protect your family. Do not rely on anyone to be there when the crime is taking place, you need to take action to protect your family, not the police.
