(Talking Points Memo) – Chris Dodd, former Democratic U.S. Senator from Connecticut and current CEO and chair of the Motion Picture Association of America (MPAA), the entertainment industry’s chief lobbying group, on Thursday issued a statement in response to the deadly mass shooting in Newtown, Conn. last week. In his statement, Dodd expressed support for the President’s gun control efforts and also highlighted his close connection to the state.
