We all know Superintendent McCarthy’s valiant efforts to curb violent crime in Chicago have been less than successful. Today they hit a new low in the Windy City – Fox Chicago reports a group of teenage girls took a cab ride only to threaten the driver with a knife and attempt to strangle him with a length of rope. In response to the incident, the Chicago Police Department advised the public to “always be aware of their surroundings and report any suspicious activity immediately.” Sure, it’s going to help a lot, especially if you’re a cab driver.
Next time Garry McCarthy should display some clothesline and kitchen knives instead of showing off his pathetic collection of old ARs and AK-clones in front of the cameras. After all, according to his own statistics, everyday objects are used in more murders in Chicago than all the rifles combined.
