Pastor Rodney Francis is in denial.

A pastor in St. Louis is working to organize a toy gun buyback at his church.

He’s in complete denial and denial has no survival value.

Instead of teaching kids “Stop!  Don’t touch!  Leave the area!  Tell an adult”, he works to contribute to the mystique of guns in the minds of children under his influence.

Pastor Plans Toy Gun Buyback Program

St. Louis (KMOX) – While St. Louis Police Chief Sam Dotson is raising funds for a gun buyback program, Pastor Rodney Francis of the Washington Tabernacle Baptist Church wants to catch kids before they even think about wielding a weapon.

His church is planning a toy gun buyback later this summer.

Francis says there are no violent video games, gory movies or toy weapons in his family’s house.

“My wife and I feel that we need to do everything we can to not allow our kids to get exposed to this too early. They’re going to get exposed to it but we can protect them early on so they don’t get a distorted view of what those can do to the human body,” he explained.

“We want to engage the culture of violence and one of the strategies that we thought we might be able to use is to educate parents about the danger of allowing kids to continue this access to toy guns and playing with toy guns.”

  1. Denial will only get you killed. I was given the opportunity to learn gun saftey when I was growing up and I given that same opportunity to my children. Now my grandchildren are learning how to handle guns safely.

  2. Finally somebody gets it!

I mean, the kid hasn’t seen his father in years, he’s juiced up on Ritalin, plays call of duty for 8 hours a day after getting suspended from school, listens to violent gangsta’ rap and watches Natural Born Killers over and over again, hears the media and politically elites tell him he’s a victim and that he should lash out at his “oppressors” in society and the reason he’s a loser isn’t his lack of morals and initiative – but rather “the man” keeping him down, then rounds it out by participating in flash mob beatings during the summer.

If we could just get that Nerf gun out of his hands!!
