In yesterday’s first installment of Bob Rainville’s “The Moral High Ground” Bob gave us some new terms to help us take back the language and make the moral case for gun ownership and against arbitrary restrictions.

And now, Part II:
THE ESSENCE OF THE SECOND –TRUST and BALANCE
The essence of the Second is predicated upon a concept of mutual TRUST enshrined in a special BALANCE of POWER, the power of the sword, between we the people and the state. This concept of trust and balance is specifically intended to be the primary and permanent deterrence to any usurpers and wannabe tyrants who would subvert the state, then use it’s standing army against the people to enforce their evil schemes. This ingenious concept is found in numerous writings of several Founding Fathers and Framers of our Constitution and has nothing whatsoever to do with hunting ducks, deer or bunnies.
Remember, the Founding Fathers had an extremely bitter experience with standing armed forces. Being very wise, God-inspired gentlemen they integrated into our Constitution the English common law concept that every able man be in personal possession of military arms as a Right and Civic Duty. They put it in second place in our precious Bill of Rights as the permanent protector of last resort for all the other Rights set forth therein. It is a brilliant idea that functions like an ever present great big permanent equalizer in the scheme of things. American Service Rifles, firearms of military utility, in the hands of millions of good guys, is the ultimate guarantor that all our Liberties are safe and secure for all time from any wannabe bad guys, usurpers and tyrants.
Benjamin Franklin and the Founding Fathers left us a Republic (not a democracy) where the Constitution IS the government and functions according to procedures set forth therein. Elected officials and bureaucrats are just mere “staff” or “the state”. This mutual trust of balance of power of the sword combined with the everyday functioning of the balance between Executive, Legislative and Judicial, is the very essence of our Republican government. It is based upon solid democratic Principles and Rights of Freedom of Speech, Worship, Assembly, Self Defense and One man-One Vote. These precious Rights incorporated into this system are all God given and designed to work for all time. Never forget …

— all the elected officials and bureaucrats are just “staff” or “the state” —
The Second Amendment in modern English: A well trained and skilled armed citizenry being the Militia and vital for the Safety and Security of a Free and Sovereign people, the Right of the People to Own and Carry firearms of a Military Utility SHALL NOT be INFRINGED.
THE MATH AND FACTS ARE OURS
Statistics in support of the pro-natural human rights position are overwhelmingly in our favor. Using them to seize the MORAL HIGH GROUND is also essential and they’re literally all over the place. This whole “ban” thing just doesn’t amount to a molecule of logic when you start looking at the numbers with the facts, and then applying some good old fashioned common sense. It is not the place or forum here to cite the volumes of statistics, save for one: History, the facts and math have well established that so called “Gun Free Zones” are nothing more than “MAD MAN MAGNETS and KILL FREE ZONES” of the highest order and ought to be abolished straight away everywhere with all due haste! They are the height of human stupidity and have contributed directly to and increased the carnage.
WWJD – WHAT WOULD JESUS DO?
Just in case anyone would ask, what does God say in the Bible or what would Jesus do about tools of defense and deterrence? Straight from Scripture, where it is written:
LUKE 22:36 Then He said to them, “But now, he who has a money bag, let him take it, and likewise a knapsack; and he who has no sword (weapon), let him sell his garment and buy one.”
LUKE 11: 21 When a strong man, fully armed, guards his own palace, his goods are in peace.
1 TIMOTHY 5:8 But if anyone does not provide (defend) for his own, and especially for those of his household, he has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever.
MATTHEW 26:52 But Jesus said to him, “Put your sword in its place, for all who take the sword will perish by the sword.”
Clearly, the concept of an individual right and responsibility to self defense and right enjoined to it, to carry implements of defense and deterrence are mandated in afore said scripture. Arm yourself; be well trained in their use so as to defend yourself, family, home, and freedom. Never draw your weapon in vain or anger! Keep it “in its place” – holstered, slung over shoulder or in its gun safe. As for tools of defense and deterrence in the work place:
NEHEMIAH 4:17 “Those who built on the wall, and those who carried burdens, loaded themselves so that with one hand they worked at construction, and with the other held a weapon.
18 Every one of the builders had his sword girded at his side as he built”.
So they had their weapons on their person at work too — just in case. Real serious consideration needs to be given to training and arming willing and qualified school teachers and staff all across the USA. The armed guard thing just won’t work because we just don’t have the bucks for it.

Citizenship IS the only qualification. And we DO “have the bucks”. It’s just that those “bucks” are being spent on other things like insurance plans that cover everything from Viagra to transgender reassignment surgery. The “bucks” are spent on overly generous six figure salaries and early retirement deals. They’re spent on global warming and homosexual indoctrination and blatant communist endeavors like the central planning called common core curriculum. They are spent on sport killing regulation like title nine (can you say wrestling? Note they just killed it at the Olympics too!
We have some teachers today who have a degree claiming they are “qualified” to teach. Uh huh. We must face reality that many don’t have the ability to apply the knowledge those “qualifications” are supposed to represent. So too is that true about being “qualified” to carry a gun. No “certificate” can EVER qualify a person. That’s just a false sense of security. The only thing that “qualifies” a person on that front is their own desire to learn and practice safe handling and use. It boils down to individual personal responsibility. No citation of a class, no degree or certificate hanging on a wall or filed away replaces that and none if them translate to it actually happening.
I’m liking a lot of these pieces but I offer disagreement. To “qualify” it I offer alternative solution. We must fully dispense with the feel good stuff. Trained, qualified, permitted – it’s all feel good political hype. Personal responsibility is the key. To end the gun free zone we must eliminate the boundaries that create them. ALL of them.
As for the Bucks…. It’s a simple matter of priority. Elected officials are CHOOSING to “not have the bucks”. They choose to spend available bucks elsewhere and we must be honest about that.
You know, history shows us things sometimes and that causes us to stop looking.
It’s true that gun control really was a form if racism in the early days of this country. However, gun control goes way back before that. Indeed, it goes back to the British crown
So today, in the spirit of this article and its parts, I’m going to stop calling them gun controllers and gun grabbers. I’m not going to call them progressives or democrats rinos or even antis.
I’m going to call them LOYALISTS. Pierce Morgan LOYALISTS.
