Gun confiscation is one step closer in Connecticut. The mainstream media spins it as “one more chance” for non-compliant gun owners who failed to register their scary guns before the January 1 deadline.
In reality, these letters – 106 to rifle owners, and 108 more to residents with standard capacity magazines – are the first step in the Connecticut State Police beginning to round up guns arbitrarily made illegal last year in that state. These guns include America’s favorite rifle, the AR-15 and magazines over 10 rounds, which include the standard capacity magazines made for that America’s favorite rifle.
Failure to register is now a felony now in Connecticut.
How long will it be before there is bloodshed over this law? We’re not sure, but we’re confident it is coming unless the law is rescinded or struck down by the courts.
Mike Vanderboegh of the edgy Sipsey Street Irregulars released an open letter a couple of weeks ago, warning of what’s coming to Connecticut. The Connecticut State Police aren’t listening. Yet.
We suspect attitudes may change after the first few rounds of bloodshed.
As it stands right now, the best estimates are that 4% of newly-regulated guns and magazines in The Nutmeg State have been registered, leaving a hundred thousand or more newly classified potential felons looking over their shoulder.

Manchester, CT (Journal Inquirer) – When state officials decided to accept some gun registrations and magazine declarations that arrived after a Jan. 4 deadline, they also had to deal with those applications that didn’t make the cut.
The state now holds signed and notarized letters saying those late applicants own rifles and magazines illegally.
But rather than turn that information over to prosecutors, state officials are giving the gun owners a chance to get rid of the weapons and magazines.
Tell these asshole to keep away from our guns, they are within the constitution and I really don’t think they want to start a all out civil war over this.
I hope other citizens who witness live enforcement on this get their own and defend the victims. The war is over due. Were getting weaker as we wait.

Actually, the proper term IS “Regular Army.” My husband was a reservist for three years and then went active duty when he was 20. And yes, the term for that (as opposed to National Guard or Army Reserve) IS “Regular Army.” It’s abbreviated RA on forms.

US military cannot be used for law enforcement within the US. This is not by the constitution but the Posse Comitatus act. National guard can be used for this purpose. Foreign invaders would be different and allow military action. That said, will the guard side with tyranny or the people? Hopefully we won’t need to find out.

In a straight up battle, yes going head to head with the US military would lead to a swift defeat. But is it possible to win against the US military in a civil war? Yes, guerrilla warfare and small unit tactics have proven successful since Vietnam.
That being said if one were to start in this country if it was squelched in less then two weeks it would be over. Any longer and you might want to get a cooler full of beer and a lawn chair and enjoy the show. It’s going to be a while. Most of the combat arms soldiers that I know hate politicians. And think about all the Vets who have gotten screwed over by the VA, (my old gunner, for example). As a soldier I have old comrades in states from Washinton to Texas to the Carolinas, and so do many others. I would say that almost every friend or family member of mine that has served in the military has high powered, high capacity magazine weapons, and they are not nutjobs. These rifles are not automatic…. Automatic fire arms have been illegal for decades. The only difference between these rifles and a “normal” hunting rifle is the way they are held (the pistol grip) and the amount of attachments you can put on them. that is it. There is no other difference. As civilians not in law enforcement we have never had over the counter access to military grade weapons in my life time(40ish yrs). I ask again, how are they going to know that the weapon was not removed from the state, which the people were allowed to do? Will they initiate a search warrant for something they are not sure is there? Most people will have taken them to a different location, or hidden them very well. Will they risk getting shot over that?

I for one will refuse to give my guns up! I would rather be the few that is put in jail to stand for what I believe. When they come I will put out my hands for the cuffs. I might be there a year or two while the dust clears but in the end I will be released and still have my guns.

The president can swipe his pen and send military. Granted not the Army and such, because that needs congress, but I believe the marines and nation guard he can.
But I also believe that they will have to make up lies to the military about us law abiding gun owners and make us look like terrorist and killers to get their dirty deeds done. They will need to make us look like the bad guy to get anything done. The military wont shoot at us unless the government lies about us!
A lot of sheriffs have said they will not go against the constitution because they are sworn to uphold the constitution. I have spoken to a few sheriffs my self and they all have felt this way.
So my suggestion is let them take a few of us to resolve this without gunfire. If that doesn’t work then yes we will have to fight for our constitutional rights. Just don’t start shooting, it would give them a foot hold to keep up their lies.
