California has enacted stringent new state-wide gun control laws since Newtown.
Los Angeles also enacted new local gun control rules as well.
Are LA residents safer because of it?
Hardly.
LA is on track to see double-digit increases in aggravated assaults, and significant increases in other violent crimes including rape.
Guns save life. Enact strict gun control and guess what happens? Violent crime goes up.
Reminder: The only thing that stops a bad guy with evil in his heart is a good guy with a gun.
When you make it difficult for good guys to have or possess guns (or carry guns), crime goes up.

According to the Los Angeles Times, LA’s “overall violent crime rate is up 7.6 percent so far this year compared with the same time in 2013.” The increase in such crime “has been driven by aggravated assaults… which have jumped nearly 20 percent.” And rapes are up 7 percent.
It is interesting to note that “aggravated assaults” — the kind which are up 20 percent in LA — are attacks characterized, in part, by the use of “weapons.”
No liberal democrat was hurt in the taking of the 2nd amendment rights for All Other Americans.
