Amy Schumer, the self-proclaimed alcoholic, man-chasing comic, has come out supporting more gun control.
An emotional Amy Schumer appeared with her second cousin once removed — Democratic Sen. Chuck Schumer — at a joint press conference on Monday to promote new legislation on gun control, in the wake of a deadly shooting at a screening of her film “Trainwreck” in a Louisiana movie theater last month.
The July 23 shooting in Lafayette, Louisiana, which killed two and injured nine others, brought national attention back onto the issue of guns and safety in our nation’s multiplexes.
What is it with these people?
Schumer touts herself as a staunch advocate of the right to make one poor decision after another and celebrate it unapologetically.
Now she comes out with her cousin Chuck Schumer to promote sexist gun control, too?
Maybe she’s only an advocate for poor decision making?
Perhaps she was still hung over from the previous night’s carousing to make the connection that gun control hurts the very people that law-abiding gun ownership helps the most?
The old Colt advertising motto, “Abe Lincoln may have freed all men, but Sam Colt made them equal” has much truth to it.
As does the often quoted similar slogan: “God created man and woman. Sam Colt made them equal.”
Gun ownership makes an infirm 80-year-old woman more than a match for a 23-year-old NFL defensive end when it comes to a fight.
It’s too bad Amy Schumer was too busy drinking and partying her way through life to have discovered that simple truth.
She might even have the rest of her life to figure it out.
If you’re like most people and haven’t seen “Trainwreck” yet – the movie that has helped Amy Schumer achieve some degree of fame – do yourself a favor and don’t. Wait until it’s on Netflix. No need to reward moonbattery.
One could say that the movie title might well describe Schumer’s career if she continues to make these poor decisions.
So, not only is she crude, lewd and a tramp, she’s a gun grabber too. Here is my surprise face.
(Cough) moonbat (cough)
Hollyweird idiots never get any of my dough-re-me, I refuse to spend money to support derelict children make believe-ing in made-up scenarios that degrade society with their filth. I purchase my entertainment at the $5 (or less) bargain bins.
If it’s in the bargain bin, it’s probably on YouTube or one of the many streaming video services for little of nothing.
And then there’s bit torrent…
John
A feeble attempt to grab some facetime with all of her adoring fans, both of them. This is why I don’t spend my moola at the movies, that and the money would have to come from my ammo fund and I don’t see that happening.
A hearty “AMEN” to that, sir.
She gets totally trashed in the youtube comments. We are winning this fight slowly.
In other news, I watched PBS News Hour last night (know thy enemy) and the St. Louis and Milwaukee police chiefs were on. The whole segment was obviously scripted with the host setting up each chief to give their anti-gun speech. They had to dance around the fact that total violent crime was at an all-time low in 2013 even as gun ownership has skyrocketed. In particular the Milwaukee jackass made sure to mention “semi-automatic” and “high capacity magazines” as many times as possible.
It helps you understand the mindset of some antis: if this is their only input it makes sense they believe guns are the problem.
