The new Field and Stream store has opened within the last month in Champaign. It’s a big store, with hundreds (if not over a thousand) of guns and pallets (and I mean pallets) of ammunition.
Was he looking to educate people about gun safety (definitely not) or was he more concerned about his own safety buying a gun or ammunition?
Inquiring minds would like to know.
Yeah, they got .22s. No limits posted. $27.99 value packs of Federal. 525 rounds.
Is the store any different than Dicks?
Do they sell handguns?
Any better prices than Gander Mountain?
Thanks
Much bigger than Dicks, which is right next door.
I don’t like dicks. Take that anyway you want.
A premium shopping experience at premium prices.
They have lots of handguns.
Their prices are better than Gander Mountain, at least the Gander in Champaign, which if my past visits still hold true are competitive plus 20%. Things may have changed, but I seem to remember Gander wanted $600 for Glocks last time I was there.
They aren’t wholesale prices at F&S, no doubt, but the sale prices seem quite good. They had an AR on sale recently for $449.
MC Sports in Market Place Mall (same mall) has some competitive everyday prices, for what it’s worth.

An Everytown supporter at a big gun store, without a sign?
Hmmm. I’m sure he was shopping for a Yeti cooler or something.
I bet Bloomberg’s Ladies for Hire would enjoy seeing this picture. It’s a keeper.
I can save money by buying my firearms locally at the small town gunshop. The price might be a bit higher but in the end it’s cheaper because I save money on gas, eats and not having to take Mrs. Number 3 to every store there ever was. Plus I never run into any Everytown idiot there, they have enough sense to stay away.
Have you considered that the useful idiots that show up for Everytown might not be quite as dedicated to the cause as the average Guns Save Life or NRA member?
He looks like a college kid. I remember wearing a couple of t-shirts I got for free when I was in college. Maybe this guy/kid is just a poor college student wearing the free t-shirt he got because everything else needs to be laundered perhaps?
$27.99 for 525 rounds of .22LR isn’t exactly a bargain.. that’s still over 5 cents a round.
At least it’s available though, and still a lot cheaper than shooting a bunch of .223 or 9mm.
