All those words describe the New Republic’s latest screed, “It’s time to ban guns. Yes, all of them.”
Yeah, because I’m sure Phoebe Maltz Bovy would enjoy returning to a time where the common man was debarred the use of weapons.
That era was more commonly known as the Medieval times where the strong victimized the old and the weak, men victimized women and innocent people were defenseless. A time where Phoebe can be a good peasant, subject to the whims of young males who are stronger than her.
Only the lowest of low-information voters would support a return to the Middle Ages. And Phoebe Maltz Bovy.

(New Republic) – Ban guns. All guns. Get rid of guns in homes, and on the streets, and, as much as possible, on police. Not just because of San Bernardino, or whichever mass shooting may pop up next, but also not not because of those. Don’t sort the population into those who might do something evil or foolish or self-destructive with a gun and those who surely will not. As if this could be known—as if it could be assessed without massively violating civil liberties and stigmatizing the mentally ill. Ban guns! Not just gun violence. Not just certain guns. Not just already-technically-illegal guns. All of them.

In theory, a violence free world sounds great. But:
The British tried to ban guns in 1776.
U.S. tried to ban alcohol in 1920.
We’ve tried to ban drugs for decades.
All those worked well?
Where ever there’s a ban, there’s a black market.
Will we be able to open carry our swords?
How can these people not realize that by definition, criminals break laws.

Hold on a minute, this is good news. These useful idiots have been calling for “sensible gun laws” and we all knew it was a smoke screen for confiscation. I think we should all be happy that they have gone all in for telling us what it really is that they are after, gun confiscation. That is a position that is reprehensible to the vast majority of Americans and it will eventually backfire on them. Give them enough rope guys, they will tie the noose themselves.
What is going on in NY state.
I keep hearing the state is about to start confiscation.
