Aspiring rapper just getting his life together, turning things around… he was at the mall to buy his momma some athletic shoes for Christmas, minding his own business shooting at people, when he got shot down by off-duty cop. Moms Demand Action demands good guys surrender the means with which to save lives.
Parents of armed teen killed at Northlake Mall speak out
Parents of the year: Juan Westbrook and Sheana Shirley, together now. For the first time in years. No doubt seeking a civil settlement from the city after an off-duty cop shot their unemployed, aspiring rapper son “Donkey Cartel” dead.
CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WSOC) —Police said the people arguing at Northlake Mall Thursday, Christmas Eve, had a history of going at it.
(cough. GANG. cough.)
Eighteen-year-old Daquan Antonio Westbrook’s parents said that’s right.
They said the tension between the groups actually started on another holiday: Thanksgiving.
They said that’s when someone shot and seriously wounded Westbrook’s older brother and that, for the past few weeks, Westbrook lived in fear of running into the shooter.
…Officials said Westbrook pulled out a gun during the argument and when an off-duty officer arrived at the store, Westbrook pointed the gun at the officer. The officer fired his weapon and officials later pronounced Westbrook dead at the scene.
Nothing says “Merry Christmas” like a few controlled-expansion hollow-point slugs to the chest of a violent bad guy.
Here’s where the amusing part of the interview begins:
Westbrook’s parents admit he got in trouble with the law when he was younger for at least one break-in but said he was getting his life together.
“My son was a good boy. He was loving, caring, loved people, loved the kids, everybody adored my son,” Juan Westbrook said.
Honey, most Americans don’t adore burglars and gang-bangers. And if you had raised a caring, loving, thoughtful child instead of a selfish turd, he wouldn’t have been living the life of a gang-banging thug illegally armed with an illegally-possessed gun.
They said he graduated high school a year early and was already a student at Gaston Community College, hoping to work in construction while rapping on the side.
“He’s very respectful. He’s a loving person. He’ll give you his last,” Westbrook’s mother, Sheana Shirley, said.
Yep, he surely was. He was such a loving person he was (illegally) using a gun to (illegally) try to (illegally) kill people. In fact, he gave his last attempt to kill an innocent person when that off-duty cop told him to drop the gun and Daquan tried to shoot him too. Unfortunately for Daquan, holding one’s gun Gat sideways while holding your pants up with your support hand is a recipe for getting one’s ticket punched, permanently.
Pardon me while I grab a tissue to wipe my tears away.
Moms take a break from their busy schedules
Moms Demand Action tried to use this gang violence incident – where a good guy with a gun stopped a bad person with evil in his heart – to push for taking guns away from good guys.
Yeah, you don’t have to live like this… You can disarm the good guys, so the bad guys have free reign and you can die while Daquan the Donkey Cartel turd and his fellow turdlet bangers run roughshod over you without any chance of a good guy stopping them.
Are Moms Demand Action is so clueless and tone deaf that they demand good guys surrender their guns? The same guns with which good people saved innocent lives in this incident?
What’s next? Will they demand reducing fire extinguisher accessibility to “protect” us from fires?

This “Donkey Cartel” had 11 prior arrests since 2013 ….one of them involved him shooting a 12 year old kid….although he was a juvenile at the time he shot the kid….why in the hell was he allowed to go free with little or no incarceration time…..just another symptom of a national problem of allowing violent offenders off easy to prey on society……His first (and last) rap album was titled “Felon with a Gun” ……many thanks to the off-duty police officer who took decisive action in stopping this threat.
I would sure as hell rather have a good guy with a gun next to me when some jackass named Donkey Kong opens up in a mall (or any other of Obama or Schumer’s kids), rather than an MDA member pissing herself as she hides behind a sign.

I give her credit… she was unarmed and got her child to a safe place. The safest place she could find anyway, and let someone with the propper equipment and training, someone with a gun, deal with the problem.
I think its unfair that Bloomy’s paid political group used her as a prop.
Unless it was staged.
I feel more sorrow for the officer that had to put the punk thug down than for the punk, he did what was needed but now has to live with the fact he had to kill it to save defenseless people.
