AMES, IA (Politico) — Two days before the Iowa caucus, former Arizona Rep. Gabby Giffords and her astronaut husband Mark Kelly helped Hillary Clinton attract her largest crowd yet — 1,127 people packed a three-story light-filled hall at Iowa State University.
Meanwhile, Donald Trump turns out crowds measured in the tens of thousands at virtually every stop. Sorry for the diversion.
Speaking in front of the large group — more than three times the size of Clinton’s average town hall — Clinton said it was time for Democrats to make ‘common sense’ gun safety a voting issue. “The vast majority of Americans agree with Gabby and Mark’s common sense approach,” she said, “but they vote on many things. Whereas those who oppose this mission that Gabby and Mark are leading, they vote only on one issue. That is how they end up intimidating members of Congress.”
Clinton grew animated when talking about how the NRA is interested in “lowering the age from 14 to let more children legally have guns. What kind of debate is that? I have heard about what happens to children…finding that loaded gun. I’ve heard the stories, I’ve seen the news reports, about the ones who are killed.”
Flashing anger, Clinton yelled, “What is wrong with us!”
I’ve been around a long time and I didn’t realize children could acquire guns through dealers at 14. Perhaps we should encourage even more young people who are responsible to embrace firearm ownership for themselves.
“Boys who own legal firearms have much lower rates of delinquency and drug use (than boys who own illegal guns) and are even slightly less delinquent than non-owners of guns.”
I hope gun owners vote in mass this election.

The liberals always count “child gun deaths” to include gang bangers up to age 22. Really inflates the numbers, just think of Chicago alone. Hillary has taken a big risk, pushing gun control as an issue in this election, to distract people away from immigration, the economy, etc. Let’s hope it proves to be her undoing.
