Don’t mess with Texas.
Don’t mess with Texans.
You would think that would be pretty common knowledge, especially for bad guys in the Lone Star State.
But, alas, not everyone is of average intelligence.
In fact, someone’s got to be at the “really dull” end of the spectrum, and that’s who made a sudden and profound error in the victim selection process one morning in Dallas not long ago.
Dallas Morning News has the story…
Homicide detectives are investigating a fatal shooting during a burglary at a home in Far East Dallas.
Police say a man with a shotgun attempted to break into a home in the 8900 block of Freeport Drive around 10 a.m.
A resident confronted the intruder and shot him, police said.
The best part of the story? The happy ending.
He died at the scene, in an alley behind the home. His name has not been released.
No good guys were hurt in the making of this story.
Darwin cleaning the gene pool a little.
I love Texas.
