Sometimes you can’t fix stupid. 38-year-old William Barnes thought he was going to have some sexy time with a young mother who lived in the house pictured above on the southwest side of Indianapolis.
He ignored a pretty big clue that things might go sideways – a clue that was prominently displayed above the front door.
And so things did go sideways. When he broke in at high noon with his gun and zip ties, coming in through the window in the baby’s room, mama bear brought her gun to investigate. Shots were traded. Mr. Barnes was hit. Repeatedly.
Mr. Barnes might have come into the home planning on having a good time with the young mom, but after she poked a few holes in him, he didn’t have the ability to molest her, the baby or anyone else. In reality, he was probably having a hard time not pissing or crapping his pants.
Police soon arrived. Sadly Mr. Barnes survived his wounds. He was taken to the hospital for treatment and now faces a bevy of charges.
INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (CBS4Indy) – A homeowner shot an intruder who tried to break into her Indianapolis home Thursday afternoon.
According to police dispatchers, officers received the call around 12:10 p.m. from a home in the 3200 block of West Banta Road. Family members told CBS4 that an infant was in the home when it happened. A mother heard the burglar get into the home through a window and then took out her pistol.
“She heard the window get busted and she called her husband and said I think somebody’s breaking in the house,” said Edsel Ballard, the woman’s father.
“He broke in through the baby’s window, ok, and when he was coming out the door, my sister was coming out her bedroom door, he aimed and shot at her first and then she shot him,” said Eddie Ballard, the woman’s brother.

We need to offer scholarships to gun classes for these victims. This mom could benefit as much as the students could from her story.

Too bad dim-wit intruder bad guy survived, now taxpayers will have to foot the bill for his unproductive existence, in and out of court/jail/prison, and maybe even pay for his attorney. I’m sure he was “just turning his life around”, typical leftist blovation.
I would love to find a “we don’t call 9-1-1” ornament similar to the one on Mama-bear’s front porch, …kool, maybe with a Thompson or at least a Glock.
