It happened in Memphis, just in time for this family’s Independence Day.
(Raw Story) – A disabled woman was beaten bloody by federal agents during an airport security screening while on her way to undergo treatment for a brain tumor.
Hannah Cohen set off the metal detector at a security checkpoint at the Memphis International Airport, and she was led away for additional screening, reported WREG-TV.
“They wanted to do further scanning, (but) she was reluctant — she didn’t understand what they were about to do,” said her mother, Shirley Cohen.
Cohen said she tried to tell agents with the Transportation Security Administration that her 19-year-old daughter is partially deaf, blind in one eye, paralyzed and easily confused — but she said police kept her away from the security agents.
They had this all taken care of. Because this woman might be carrying 11 pounds of C-4 in her vagina, ready to scream “Aloha Snackbar!” before blowing her fellow Americans to smithereens.
The confused and terrified young woman tried to run away, her mother said, and agents violently took her to the ground.
Because a woman half-crippled up is a deadly security risk. She’s probably got a black belt in Martial Arts that are classified! Those Paul Blarts at the TSA checkpoint were probably in fear for their Twinkies.
“She’s trying to get away from them, but in the next instant, one of them had her down on the ground and hit her head on the floor,” Cohen said. “There was blood everywhere.”
The young woman, who was returning home after finishing treatment for the brain tumor at St. Jude Hospital, was arrested and booked into jail.
I think this was heard shortly after they saw the blood: “Oh damn! We better arrest her and take her to jail to cover our asses!”
Authorities eventually threw out the charges against Hannah Cohen, but her family has filed a lawsuit against Memphis police, airport police and the TSA.
Finally someone with some sanity stepped in and tossed the charges. God bless the Cohen family and their suit against the idiots involved. May they perform security screening in Syria next time.
Neither police department commented on the suit, but a spokesperson for the TSA said passengers should notify agents ahead of time if they have special needs.
Ah, the “spokesperson”: It’s Hannah’s fault for not notifying our goons in their native language of grunts and crotch grabs that she had some issues.
“Passengers can call ahead of time to learn more about the screening process for their particular needs or medical situation,” said TSA spokesperson Sari Koshetz.
Crikey.
And we tolerate this BS just as the Jews allowed themselves to be herded onto trains in the ’30s. Very sad.

The informant claims Fox news a US senator, the New York Times and others are aware of the terrorist threat and nothing is being done to stop it. The final words during the interview by the informant were I hope nothing happens this weekend!

We are back to the time before 9/11, when the “TSA” was full of criminals for security checks.
Those were contractors hired by the airlines.
I guess it’s easier to attack a whole agency and its workforce with insults and slander, rather than actually offer a better way of doing it. I agree that what we see at airports is more security theater than security application. However to say all TSA screeners are criminals or are worthless, is rather ridiculous. It would be like saying all gun owners or CCW holders are police wannabe’s, have a hero complex or are responsible for the evil events of the world. Every local, state and federal agency has bad officers. I work in the law enforcement community, so I know. We see the different reports on things that happen. I highly doubt this is a result of TSA Officers slamming this girl to the ground and more a result of overzealous police officers who fear their shadows slamming this girl to the ground. TSA trains their federal officers to not place hands on a passagers, save for pat downs. TSA is named in the suit because they initiated the process to begin with. Here is a thought, instead of singling out the TSA with this article, why don’t you (John), utilize the freedom of information act and request the CCTV footage from that airport. All major airports have video of their checkpoints. It is a requirement of the risk management program. Maybe that will give us more of a factual report, rather than a one side stomp. Don’t think I’m a TSA fan, rather I believe in fairness to the situation. For those of you that insinuate all TSA Federal Officers are useless, have low IQ’s or are no better than Walmart employees, explain the following. A high percentage of TSA Officers and staff are either current or former military personnel. Additionally, they hire former police officers, or other highly trained private sector security personnel from say Loss Prevention or other executive level ranks. Are they crap too?! Or is it possible they are simply people who decided that they wanted to step up and do what they could to continue to serve their country. When, not if, 9/11 2.0 happens in this country thanks to a broken gov admin and weak president, you won’t have to worry about the TSA anymore. You’ll have an 18-24 year old Army or National Guard soldier, heck maybe even a Marine, standing over you with his or her M16 ready to slam you to the ground if you make one wrong move. Maybe that will make you feel better about the process. Or maybe you’ll cry about and insult that process too. If any of you can offer a truly better security risk management plan or assessment on how to run a Federal Security Checkpoint, then step up, write and present it to Congress. If not, then stick to what you know and be grateful that there are people out there willing to possibly get blown to shit or shot to death by some Muslim extremest hell bent on killing people. And from I see when traveling through the airports, TSA is a ripe target. But then again, so are you when walking in a public area. But hey, based on some of these comments, I’m sure you’re highly skilled on your paper targets and staged events, with safety gear, so you’ll be ready. One last thing, if you think you can do a better job than the current TSA screeners, then go to USA Jobs and apply. You can join and make a difference. Or maybe you’ll have a better understanding of what it is like to serve your country, working for this government and ungrateful American citizens, who look to slander you when you are simply doing your job. If it turns out that the TSA Officers did slam this girl down, then they should be fired, arrested and charged for it. If it was the cops, the same should happen to them. Very unfortunate that she had to experience such ignorant, unprofessional behavior.

If tsa is so innocuous, then why do they have swat teams? They go out like they are super ninjas at train depots and other public venues.
And for the record, if i worked at tsa, i would be ashamed to tell anyone where i worked, too.
Are you talking about TSA Federal Air Marshals or the DHS Police? Those are the individuals you are referencing. They do not conduct the screening operations at the checkpoints. Those are unarmed Officers, with no arrest authority. I get your distaste of the TSA. Maybe you had a bad experience or just realize that the leadership/administration (Bush jr) that formed that agency, knee jerked after 9/11 and formed that agency without any real thought of the long term effect it would have as a functional gov agency. I don’t agree that the good officers at the TSA need to be ashamed of what they do for a living. Maybe they take pride in what they do, if done correctly. But I am curious. What is you do? It must be an awesome job, one that you are very proud of.
