Clinton, IL (Guns Save Life) – The Central Illinois Preparedness Expo is back!
The DeWitt County Sportsman’s Club will host the event on Saturday, August 6th from 9am-5pm. The event, free of charge to the public, will feature a series of expert-led segments to help our fellow Americans cope with emergencies, both short-term and longer-term as well as independent living. Mike Ryan, organizer of this year’s event, said “This event will help us all become better prepared for ourselves, our families, our neighborhoods and our communities in event of an emergency.”
Among the sponsors are the DeWitt County Sportsman’s Club, Guns Save Life, Live Free USA and GSL Defense Training. If you have topics or instructors you would like to see, or if you would like to help volunteer in some capacity to help with promotion or in other ways, contact Mike Ryan at MRyan2803@gmail.com.
As in past years, there will be presentations both indoors and outdoors, allowing those attending to tailor their experience to their interests. There will also be static displays of equipment, books and other materials on site. Mr. Ryan says his goal is to increase the number of “hands on” activities for folks participate in practical application of skill sets.
“We’re also working on having plenty of things for kids as well, both learning and exploring,” Ryan said. “It will be a very family-friendly environment.”
Lunch will be available on site as well.
The DeWitt County Sportsman’s Club sits about six miles east of the Clinton, IL city limit on Route 10.
This sounds awesome.
We would like to be involved in this event.
Our organization teaches both wilderness and urban survival techniques in a family friendly environment.
I remember this from a couple of years ago. Great stuff at a bargain price. Kudos to GSL and Dewitt Sportsmen for doing this again. It’s a great service to the community.
I see a lot of dead diabetic morbidly-obese there to feed to the pigs. My pigs and dogs are going to eat well, indeed.
Preppers are a funny lot.
