Illinois State Senator Julie Morrison has filed a bill to end pre-emption of semi-auto firearms in the State of Illinois. Word has it little Miss Morrison’s strings are getting pulled by the folks at Everytown, and she’s feeling a little rattled as she got primaried this year as a sitting Illinois Senator.
The bill doesn’t have the votes for passage, nor is Governor Bruce Rauner inclined to sign such a bill into law, but Julie’s getting her hearing on the bill as part of political theater in Illinois.

Hearings in Southern Illinois?
Special note: While this hearing will be fun (we’ll be there with representatives for gun owners) we’re especially excited to hear of some potential future hearings – prior to the election – in central or southern Illinois. Now those will be good fun. We’ll keep you up to speed.
