LETTER TO EDITOR: Springfield, IL State Journal-Register’s Hillary endorsement

And the mainstream media wonders why their reputation with the American people continues to sink?

The Springfield, IL State-Journal Register endorsed Hillary Clinton for President.

One of our members carbon copied us on a letter submitted to the State Journal-Register.

Dear Editor,

I am sitting here gobsmacked after reading The Springfield Journal Register's endorsement of Hillary for President.  Abe Lincoln at Oak Ridge is encased in concrete but I'm sure he's spinning in his grave. My next thoughts are whether to cancel my subscription. I have to think about that but will probably not because I enjoy writing letters to the editor too much. That is one of the quiet pleasures of being an unrepentent crackpot/gadfly.

In your article you say Hillary is a deeply flawed candidate. That's like saying Hitler wanted stability for Germany but overreached.

Let's just parse the flawed statement by summarizing just the big stuff in 30 years of public service:

Whitewater, Travelgate, Filegate, Rose Law Firm's lost billing records, Bimbo squad, Vince Foster suicide (?), Lincoln bedroom rental, illegal Chinese campaign contributions for our most most advanced military secrets, secret Health reform meetings, Sow belly fortune, e-mails deleted, personal server giving our most confidential information to our enemies, Lying under oath to Congress, FBI and anyone else who would listen, Benghazi, lying to a murdered diplomats mother while his body was being offloaded from transport, Lying to the public on everything including saying she has always been a Cub fan (while in New York she's a Yankee fan), Clinton Foundation, illegal campaign contributions including from countries that treat women as chattel, Pay to play, or in street parlance, I own the President for a measly million dollar contribution. I hope she screws those people too.

I would have preferred you endorse neither candidate. I could live with that, but as the disaster that becomes the Clinton Presidency unfolds, the Constitution used for toilet paper, our most cherished values recede and liberty diminishes, remember the old Transylvanian saying, 'When you climb in bed with a vampire, don't be surprised if you get a hickey on your neck."

In closing, the big rumor in Chicago is Hillary is going to be pardoned along with Tony Reszko.

I read much of the endorsement until I could take no more.  I think it might have been written by Hillary's campaign chair John Podesta.
