Poor Rod Blagojevich. The poor, Democratic Governor of Illinois, impeached by his own party, currently rots away in federal prison. With a lot of spare time, the gun-hating leftist scumbag filed YET ANOTHER appeal to get another sentencing hearing.
The Seventh Circuit took all of three days to reject his latest appeal.
Poor Rod.
How's life in prison, buddy? Don't drop the soap.
CHICAGO (AP) — A federal court has taken just three days to reject the appeal of imprisoned former Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich seeking a third sentencing.
The unanimous ruling Friday by the 7th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in Chicago dismissed arguments that the Democrat’s trial-court judge should have reduced his 14-year prison term for corruption because of his good behavior behind bars.
The written opinion from the three-judge panel says, “Blagojevich’s treatment of fellow inmates may show that outside of office he is an admirable person.” But it continues that the lower court was punishing him for his behavior as governor, not as a prisoner.
The 7th Circuit tossed several Blagojevich convictions in 2015 then, in August, the lower court imposed the same 14-year sentence. That led to the now-rejected appeal.
This breaks my heart.
What absolute rancor, hatred and politics prevented O'Blowme from pardoning him?
teeehhehehehehehehettteeehhhhhhhhheeeee!!!!!!!!!!!!
How do you spell schadenfreude?
His next chance is the US Supreme court and his last chance is a presidential pardon from President Trump……looks like he is going to finish out his entire sentence and remain a model prisoner…..we need more model prisoners just like Rod so why don't the fine folks of Illinois petition the court to add on more time to his sentence….say another 10 years.
Oh boo hoo I feel so sorry for potty mouth patty. Said no one ever!
I loved how his lawyers argued that he accepted responsibility for his actions in court while his wife stood on the courthouse steps telling any camera pointed her way that they they knew he was innocent and it was time to come home.
