Here's more about him…
I was the Operations Sgt of the 233rd FA Bn, Illinois National Guard 44th Inf Div that was called in support of the Korean War in 1952-53. I was levied overseas as the 40th Inf Div Artillery Operations Sergeant but orders were changed and I became the 8th Army Liaison to the II ROKA Corps. My duties were to train Korean FA Groups to become Division Artillery's for new Korean Infantry Divisions as well as perform direct support to the II ROKA Corps front lines in the Capitol Hill and Finger Ridge Sector. From this experience I was given a direct commission and served in the Illinois National Guard to become the Chief of Staff. I retired in 1986, and was brevetted to a Brigadier General. My talk will cover some of my experiences in this role at the front lines of Korea 1952-53.Louis (Lou) Myers
