Folks, I'm a (mostly former) Appleseed instructor (in training). I've been to a LOT of venues over the years, and the McLean, IL Appleseed event ranks as probably the best and friendliest places to participate in Appleseed. And the instructors, many of whom are GSL members and GSL Defense Training instructors, are not only top notch, but they are people you know and trust.
GSL members Bob and Barb Holland host the event on their property. There's shade, fans, and they feed the attendees. Folks, life doesn't get much better than this.

Safety Notice:
Rifles must be cased and left in vehicle until after the Safety Briefing. Do Not bring your firearms out until instructed to bring them to the firing line. No loaded firearms on the range unless on the firing line and load command has been given. Eye and ear protection required. No illegal firearms are allowed. Some ranges are .22 rimfire only. At ranges that allow centerfire no rifle cartridges over 8mm cal or handgun cartridges over .45 cal are allowed.

Check State Laws, No carry permits are honored in Illinois. Guns should be transported unloaded and cased.

25 meter only event. Centerfire or .22 welcome. If you have a popup shade/shelter canopy, please bring it along. Food (hamburgers and such) will be available for a nominal cost.

Hi John,
At the Rantoul GSL mtg tonight, Ken Miller announced the Holland Appleseed event on July 21-22 and handed out flyers containing most of the above info. However one thing I do not see is a starting time for the activities on Jul 21 or Jul 22.
Bill, everyone is encouraged to be there before 8:30 AM to get checked into the event. We will be setting up sunshades for the line and help will be appreciated.
