On Saturday night into Sunday morning, hundreds of young black males rampaged in downtown Chicago. Yes, downtown Chicago – the very heart of tourism and retail “destinations.” Increasingly it’s not a whole lot safer than the rest of the crime-ridden city.
The feral mobs accosted tourists and residents alike. They robbed people, danced on top of cars and buses and committed all manner of criminal damage to property and mayhem. If you guessed shots were fired and people got fresh gunshot wounds, you would be correct.
Yes it all went down in the very same city that will host the Democratic National Convention in August 2024, when all eyes will be upon the city. If Saturday even stands as any indicator when what will happen with warmer weather under a “Let’s Go” Brandon Johnson city, Lord help anyone foolish enough to work, shop or visit downtown Chicago as tourists.
Saturday’s “entertainment” for the group began early in the evening. Large groups of young people converged downtown. It didn’t take long before things grew out of control and the “entertainment” began – at the expense of taxpayers, residents and tourists, of course.

Not only did they stomp cars and bust windshield, they also beat some of the drivers. Welcome to Chicago, folks.

A woman whose car was smashed by people jumping on the windshield said her husband was beaten as he sat in the driver’s seat. He’s been taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital.
Police were escorting tourists and others back to their cars in the Millennium Park garage.
The crowd was trying to get into Millennium Park, but there are checkpoints around the perimeter and people under 21 are not allowed without an adult.
This is the second time this weekend that a group of rowdy teenagers has prompted a police response. On Friday night, hundreds of kids went to 31st Avenue Beach, and a 14-year-old was shot.
And as darkness fell completely, things continued to devolve as crowds grew larger and more violent.

In the end police had to escort people in Millennial Park to their parking garage to protect them from the marauding youths as one mob tried to get into Millennium Park and another tried to force entry on the Art Institute.

Clearly, the only reason these people were out of control was because the SAFE-T Act has been held up by the Illinois Supreme Court. Because if it was in effect, Chicago would no doubt be a bucolic paradise and a crown jewel of successful Democratic party governance.
Don’t forget the Protect Illinois Communities Act that bans the law abiding from buying a majority of gun models. If PICA was in place this would have never happened.

Every April some baseball teams start playing in overpriced neighborhoods, The trees begin to turn green again, and the best of Chicagos ‘youth’ go downtown to act like a-holes for likes on social media, knowing they are a protected species and no one will touch them. Destroying property and beating up tourists is just a bonus. The shootings will become more frequent and more violent, as one idiot challenges another idiot for the chance to stand on some stupid corner and sling dope. Theres no reason not to, its not like jail is a threat anymore. The self cleaning oven of Chicago will fill several hundred graves this year, again, and the whore-Media will interview the deceased persons momma, and whomever they can find to say how its someone elses fault this happened, again….. All hail Democrat policies!
And a couple of more ‘mass shootings’ over the weekend for Potato to mouth off about. A ‘birthday party’ in Alabama at a place called Mahogany Masterpiece. 10:30pm at night. A birthday party for 16 year olds. Somehow, you just knew who it would be.
And then, some asshole fires dozens of rounds into hundreds of people in a park in Louisville on Saturday night. 9pm. Somehow, you just know who the suspect will be, if they ever find one.
It might just be me, but perhaps we should focus less on the tool, and more on the common denominator in these types of shootings. It would probably just be rac-ist, or tranny-ist, or some other -ist, to point out such common denominators. Let’s just say you never see any NRA members, or those wearing MAGA hats, as the perps.

The 2024 Democratic Convention should be interesting. I remember the 1968 convention when Mayor Daley said police should “shoot to kill.” That was the year the Illinois General Assembly passed the FOID Act, which the IGA said was not going to lead to more restrictions on the 2A.
