Coming in June: GSL Geneseo!
Gun Valley is the home to multiple gun manufacturers, including Springfield Armory and Rock River Arms. Coming in June GSL will launch the Geneseo meeting chapter. It will become our newest chapter.
Regional Director Paul Pardo will lead the charge at the VFW on the LAST TUESDAY of the month starting June 25, 2024.
We’ve got a team of great people eager to share the fun and excitement of GSL meetings with people in Northwestern Illinois. It should be a great time with great people. Join us!
No May Chicagoland meeting.
We will not meet over the Memorial Day weekend. We’ll see you back in June where we have a Tisas 1911 .45 as our drawing gun.
GSL Mattoon/Charleston new meeting location
With the abrupt closure of the U Hotel’s Convention Center space, we’ve moved to the American Legion Post 88 in Mattoon, IL. The newly-minted “Mattoon/Charleston” regional meeting will still take place on the Second Thursday of each month, just at a new location at Post 88.
We thank the U Hotel’s Convention Center for their years of faithful service.
Decatur’s July 3rd meeting is cancelled
We’re cancelling the July 3rd Decatur meeting because of local fireworks and some other factors ahead of the Independence Day holiday. Have a great holiday!
Peoria’s July meeting will take place after all!
Peoria’s meeting fell on July 4th. Our Regional Director Richard Parks made the executive decision to move the meeting back one week to July 11th. We will attempt to live-stream Mr. Boch’s Executive Director’s Report from the Mattoon/Charleston chapter meeting. This is the 21st Century, after all.
The Matoon/Charleston live streams are much appreciated for us out-of-towners. Wish you could stream the whole meeting, but I understand different speakers and their wishes to be on/off camera.
