Holy cow, Batman!  We all saw the video of Venezuelan gang bangers rampaging through a Colorado apartment building in recent days.  Plenty of us breathed a sigh of relief.  Thank heavens that’s not around here!

Well, guess what Buttercup.  It is.

CBS 12 has the story:

Chicago police received a call Monday night about Venezuelan migrants showing weapons in a South Side apartment building, according to a report shared via X.

A dispatcher was told that 32 Venezuelans displayed guns in the courtyard of a complex in the Washington Park neighborhood, the X account Spot News posted. They were allegedly trespassing and parked motorcycles there as the stairwells also became “filled.”

A Chicago Tribune photojournalist shared a photo of the scene later that night, saying “according to a source, no migrants were found with weapons or motorcycles.”

The Chicago Police Department did not respond to multiple requests for comment.

The reported incident followed video shared last week by a Colorado resident of a group of men carrying guns and entering an apartment in Aurora. Aurora City Councilmember Danielle Jurinsky told The National Desk (TND) the people were in control of the building.

Of course, the mainstream media claim it never happened.  First of all because police, who arrived almost an HOUR after the 911 calls for help came in, could find nobody.

Which triggered this great comment on Twitter.

Joel:  They’re not going to report on stuff that makes the Democrat activists running Chicago look poorly for their poor public policies!

Second of all, it never happened because the local alderwoman – part of the corrupt cabal running Chicago – says it never happened.

Don’t trust your lying eyes, folks.

No, Armed Venezuelan Migrants Did Not Take Over A Chicago Apartment Building
WASHINGTON PARK — There is no evidence a group of migrants took over a Washington Park apartment complex Monday, a false claim that went viral on social media and was amplified by Elon Musk.

A 911 call was made Monday night, saying there were “32 Venezuelans” trespassing in a building on the 6100 block of King Drive, “showing guns in the courtyard” and packing the courtyard and stairwells, according to scanner audio archived by crimeisdown.com.

Chicago police spokesperson Peggy Benz on Tuesday confirmed officers responded to a call for service to the building, but officers found nothing matching the report at the scene did not generate a police report for the incident.

The area’s alderwoman also refuted the claim. But the misinformation went viral anyway, particularly catching on among right-wing social media accounts.

  1. Everyone has a camera in their hands nowadays. No one took a picture, or better yet, video?

  2. Kinda sad when there’s likely more people in gang attendance at a CPD call for service than likely fans in attendance at a major league baseball game in the same city. I ponder if there’s a correlation?

  3. I heard this morning that Springfield has had 20,000 new arrivals (no, not babies) from El Salvador, Haiti, Honduras, or someplace not named Norway. Like so many other things going on the proof of this remains slightly fuzzy. The bottom line is don’t leave home without it.
