The Illinois Department of Natural Resources has a great opportunity for young people (aged 10-17) to not only learn the fundamentals of wingshooting under the careful supervision of experienced instructors, they have an event where they pair that with an opportunity to harvest up to two birds!
The events are open for those age 10-17. These are a variation of our regular intro clinic in that they are specifically for youth form age 10 to 17 and are paired with a same day pheasant hunt.
Terry Doyle will be helping specifically with the Iroquois County event on Nov 9th as the Senior Wingshooting Instructor and of course we could not hold these events without the volunteer instructors with the IDNR Hunter Safety program. Craig Bull is helping us promote the event through the Iroquois and Kankakee county and also holding 2 Hunter Safety Education programs in the months preceding the event to ensure the youth have met the requirement of passing the IDNR Hunter safety program to be able to register and attend.
