The police chief in Florida published an edict banning the public from carrying firearms in Okeechobee, Florida a couple of days ago. The chief’s order unconstitutional and unethical in how it disarmed the good guys in that city. Not only that, but under state law it was invalid. Anyone getting arrested under the faulty order would probably get themselves a nice payday from the local residents.
I would have called the Okeechobee PD myself except they’re probably kind of busy at the moment. Nevertheless, the chief and the city council there all need to answer for this improper and faulty order.
Yes, I know we’re here in Illinois. Can you imagine the orders that JB Pritzker would issue from on high if a wide-scale disaster (like a major earthquake or a nuclear strike) were to hit our state?
If They can yank our rights away when They decide to, it’s kinda hard to call them Rights. Maybe taking Their employment and pension away the moment They step into UnConstitutional territory would be a good response.
Second amendment is about shooting tyrants in their face, just saying.
It’s nice to know that when times get hard you have a total asswipe for a police chief.

Except that if this happens in Illinois, and some dumbfork police dept actually enforces it, the judicial system is so corrupt and backlogged that it will only take 3-5 years to resolve, and take a guess at how that will ultimately turn out.
