In the world of YouTube, viewers have to put up with a lot of trash to find good stuff.  Everyone and their dog are trying to monetize crap productions and second-rate opinions and analysis for fractions of a penny per view.

Some of the idiocy is harmless.  Others will get you killed.

Even if it’s laced with sarcasm for those who don’t have a properly calibrated sarcasm meter.

Take 3 of 7 Project.  He earned a revocation of my former subscription to him when be badmouthed Testosterone Replacement Therapy for men suffering from low-T as they age.  He shared a lot of ignorance about the topic while holding himself out as knowledgeable.  I’d been lukewarm on some of his recent content when that video dropped, but the ignorance about TRT made unsubscribing easy.

Then YouTube throws his video up in my feed.

Always fire a warning shot?

Carry your pistol without a magazine and only if the warning shot fails should you load your pistol and take care of business?

Is this guy insane?

It took a few more minutes to pick up on the sarcasm.

But how many people didn’t, and instead took this “advice” – even if it was issued in jest – as the real deal?  Sure, it would have been worth a laugh if he released it on April 1st, but he didn’t.  Sure, it could be a Darwin thing for the slow-witted gun owners out there like Adam Kinzinger.

There are a lot of newbie gun owners who will do anything to be like a Navy SEAL.  Sometimes sticking to the fundamentals of shooting and sound tactics provide a better foundation for a solid defensive posture than some sarcastic SEAL.
