Have you ever wandered what will happen to you in the aftermath of using deadly force (or any force) in self-defense?  Spoiler alert:  It won’t be pretty.

You carry a gun so you’re harder to kill.  You better know the law and how to act in the aftermath of a use-of-force incident to make yourself harder to convict!

Frankly, if you’re reading this post, you’re probably ahead of the average person who blissfully and foolishly assume (you know how that goes) that everything will be okay if you act in good faith.

In the real world, it might be okay if other people don’t lie.  Or you act outside of what the law allows, intentionally or not.

On MONDAY, November 4th (TONITE!), Natalia Ogurkiewicz will join us at our SANGAMON COUNTY GSL event at SCHEELS in Springfield.  She was exceptional last time she visited and we anticipate more of the same.

Can’t make Springfield on the day before Election Day?  Well you’re in luck as she’s going to make a presentation us our CHICAGOLAND meeting on Sunday, November 24th – the Sunday before Thanksgiving.

On Wednesday, January 8th of next year, Michael Johnson, the US Law Shield criminal defense attorney for Illinois, will address our NORTHWEST CHICAGOLAND meeting in Buffalo Grove (at the Prairie House Tavern).  (This meeting starts at about 6pm.)

GREG BISHOP THIS WEEK TOO!

Also worth noting, we have a special guest speaker lined up for our Decatur meeting this month.  Greg Bishop (pictured above), an editor with The Center Square and a rising journalist star out of Springfield covering the fetid mess that’s Illinois politics, will be our featured speaker in Soy City.  Greg’s a great guy and here’s your chance to meet someone famous – well, famous in the world of Land of Lincoln politics.
