Great news!  We have at least two local GSL members who are nominated for Gundies this year.  John Drummond’s “Wayward Son Custom Guns” has been nominated for “Breakout Creator of the Year“.  Todd Vandermyde’s “Freedom’s Steel” was nominated for “Top Voices of the 2A“.  Congrats to both!

What are the Gundies?

Our Mission: Celebrating the Firearms and 2A Community

The Gundies Awards were created with a simple but meaningful purpose: to celebrate the individuals, creators, and brands that use their 1st amendment to fight for the 2nd. Since our first awards ceremony, we’ve strived to provide a platform where voices across the industry can be recognized and celebrated for their creativity, advocacy, and innovation.

At our core, we believe the Gundies are more than just an awards show—they’re a celebration of the passionate community that stands behind the Second Amendment. From competitive shooters to advocates, from outdoor enthusiasts to meme creators, the Gundies shine a spotlight on everyone who contributes to the firearms space in positive and impactful ways.

Here’s how you can submit votes – on a daily basis – for your favorites…

Sign into the Gundies website by creating an account with your email address.  (Tip:  Be sure to unclick the “newsletter” subscription.)  Then click “vote”.  You can then vote once per day for each category.  If you give them your phone number, they’ll give you more votes, but rest assured, you will get more spam on your phone.  So ask yourself it it’s worth it.

Vote early and vote often… or at least daily if you can remember.

So, go vote for Wayward Son Custom Guns as the Breakout Creator of the Year, and Freedom’s Steel for Top Voices of the 2A!

For what it’s worth:  You may recognize Drummond’s Wayward Son Custom Guns.  After all, he’s donating a custom “GSL-19” pistol and a whole lot of gear for Guns Save Life’s first “Great Guns 2025” drawing.  More on that here.

By the way, if you haven’t subscribed to his Wayward Son Custom Guns YouTube page, please do.  It’ll help him out and it’s the least we can do for what he’s provided to us!
