This just caught the attention of people on the gun rights side. That’s understandable, because this opinion piece by John Cornyn, Tom Tillis and Susan Collins appeared in Newsweek, the failed Leftist weekly news magazine’s website on November 24th. Yes, circulation there is measured in scores per day, not millions per day.
In a master-level class (or grad student level for you university folks), Cornyn, Tillis and Collins show us how to buy yourself a primary challenge.
Americans don’t support gun control.
Sure, there are some simple people who support gun control, but then again, there are 6% or more who adamantly believe lizard people rule our nation. And don’t get me started on the people who still believe wearing a face diaper will protect them from the COVID bogeyman.
No parent wants to send their child to school fearful for their safety, and no student ought to have to go to school and be afraid. But we sadly live in an increasingly challenging and charged environment for young people.
Note how they appeal to emotions in the first paragraph, not logic or reason.
Mark Smith has a great piece on this over at Four Boxes Diner.
I predict both men will find themselves challengers in the next cycle.
Maybe even crazy Susan Collins too.
Jackasses and morons. And I used to like Tillis.
